DIRECTOR'S LETTER
Welcome to the 2007-2008 Scarsdale-Edgemont Girl Scout (SEGS) year. This promises to be a very exciting but challenging year. For those of returning THANKS for your dedication to our new leaders WELCOME.
I have been involved in SEGS for nine happy, fun and fullfilling years. My 11th grade daughter will be leaving our community to go off to college in two short years. I accepted the position of Volunteer Community Chair in order to help more girls and moms experience the wonder of a great Girl Scout program.
The experiences, responsibilities and challenges my daughter has worked through as part of her Girl Scouting experience have helped her grow and will continue to be a source of strength as she takes a leadership role in our world. "Girl Scouting where girls grow" strong is more than a slogan it is a fact of life.
I will be unable to attend the September Leaders meetings due to a work committment out of town. Mary and BK, two of our experienced Volunteer Community Chairs will handle the September meetings.
Please come to the meeting it is well worth your time -- together we can help our community, our girla and ourselves.
Thank you in advance for your support and participation.
